Dear Friends,
When it comes to fashion I'm constantly looking for inspiration. I crave, yearn, even desire it. I guess you can say I've been having a long-term affair with my inspirations. So you can imagine when I actually stumble upon something that, low and behold, inspires me. I go a little crazy, insane even. There's some gasps, quick breathing, and maybe even fainting. Okay, so I wouldn't go that far but you see where I'm going with this. Lately inspiration has been sneaking up on me in the most unexpected places. Whether it be simply looking at an interesting building, a bouquet of colorful flowers, or even an old movie poster. Inspiration is always lurking around the corner and it's only up to you to take it all in. Recently, I've been indulging in classic movies that were mainly made in the thirties and forties. Everything that came from that timeline simply seemed to be, better. The movies, music, and of course...fashion. I've always been obsessed with fashion that came from another time. Whether it be the roaring twenties, nifty fifties, or even the swinging sixties. I've always and will always be inspired. All the trends from back then seem to be coming back anyways. Cat eye sunglasses, maxi skirts (thank you Janis Joplin), and high-waist trousers (I bow down to you Katherine Hepburn. It's just that people now a days like pretend they've come up with it and tend to call it "their own". Anyways I guess this post is just to tell you guys that just be open to possibilities because I guarantee that if you just open your eyes, as well as your heart, inspiration fill find you. Oh, and please, feel free to send me comments or emails on what inspires you. Whether it be a picture, song, hell even a piece of furniture. I really want to know what inspires you and why. Have a great weekend and stay safe!

All you need is love...and music!!
Dear Friends,
I think it goes without saying I'm the worst person in the world to have a blog. I've been neglecting it for a long time but before you begin to chew my head off, I have an excuse. Lately I've been extremely busy with work and a whole bunch of other stuff that I've had no time to blog. I'll have you know that while all this was happening I've been feeling horrible that I haven't blogged in forever. At times if felt as if my heart was being ripped out of my body and tossed aside. But, neglecting Truffles has come to and end. From now on I vow to be a devoted blogger. Cross my heart and all that good stuff. So in other words let's start this post off with a happy start. I've been really inspired by music lately. Then again I'm always inspired but music so that's nothing new. But lately with all the amazing up and coming artists and bands, a new wave of inspiration has washed up and gobbled me up. I feel that music plays such a huge part in the way we dress that it's sort of hard not to be inspired all the time by it. Plus, with all the music festivals (Cochella, Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza) just around the corner, you can be sure fashionistas around the world will be beaming with anticipation to see what who will wear. So I've decided to list a couple of the bands and artists that are inspiring me at the moment. Hopefully they'll inspire you as much as they have inspired me. Hope all of you have a great week and if you have any artists or bands that are inspiring you feel free to shoot me a comment or email because I'm always open to listening to new music!!
1.Ellie Goulding
I've been listening to Ellie since before she became big in the states. She's such an increible artist and her new album, Lights
, is insanely good. Every track on the album is as beautiful as it is enchanting. My favorite tracks on the album are Lights, Your Song, The Writer, and Salt Skin. Check her out!!

If you haven't heard of these guys before, you're crazy. They already have a huge fan base and with their upbeat, electric sounds, it's not to have a truck load of fans. Every one of their songs on their debut album, Torches
, is uplifting and perfect for summer. My favorite tracks are Pumped Up Kicks, Miss You, and I Would Do Anything For You. Check them out!! (click on Torches)
Every morning while I'm getting ready for class or work I'll tune into VH1's Top 20 Countdown. One morning I was in a rush and these guys came on. I literally stopped what I was doing and glued myself to my flat screen until they were done. The good part was that I walked away with a new favorite band, the bad was that I was twenty minutes late to class. Either way, this bad is amazing. They're not relatively new but they're amazing nonetheless. They're music reminds me of something right out of the 50's. Their follow up album to Songs for a Breakup
is called Pickin' Up The Pieces
and it's beyond good. My favorite tracks are MoneyGrabber, New's 4 U, and Tighter. Check em' out!!
My heart beats a bit faster every time I hear that name. If you could see me right now, you'd see I'm blushing so much I look like a tomato. This has to be my favorite out of all of them. You probably already know the lead singer, Reeve Carney, as Spider-man on Broadway's Spider-man: Turn Off The Dark but when the whole band get together, they make Carney. With Reeve on lead vocals and his brother, Zane, on guitar. Their debut album Mr. Green
, is nothing but incredible and filled with unbelievable tracks. This band is soon to be one of the biggest things out there and it doesn't hurt that Reeve and Zane are crazy gorgeous! Check em' out!!
Now this band is far from new and has been in the game for a long time. They're one of my favorite bands of all time and I'm absolutely in love with they're new album Codes And Keys
. If you're just finding out about these guys, once again you're crazy. They never seem to disappoint whenever they make an album and with the light and tranquil vocals of Ben Gibbard, it's impossible not to see why. My favorite tracks on this album are You're A Tourist, Portable Television, and Friday Morning. Along with all the other songs on this album but I don't feel like listing them all. So if you haven't checked them out already, shame on you!!

It Girl!!
Dear Lovers,
I'm extremely sorry I've been M.I.A for so long. Once again my crappy laptop has failed me and I've taken it to MircoCenter. It's currently recovering and until then I'm using my mom's and I promise, I'm going to try to be a little more attentive to Truffles. Also, I have a new blog coming out soon called bubblegum whispers. There's only one post on it now so if you want you can check that out as well. That other blog will just be my takes on accessories and have a whole bunch of pics of me in my fave outfits but at the moment it's still a work in progress. Also, with it being Mother's Day weekend let's give a giant hands up to all the mother's out there. I know I'm blessed with a pretty amazing one. Anyways let's get down to the reason for this post. I haven't done an "It Girl" in awhile so I feel that I should do one today. This girl has always been one of my favorite stylistas. She's got the Bohemian/hippie look down to a T. Every time I see her picture in a magazine she's always looking chic without even trying. Of course I'm talking about non other than Miss Vanessa Hudgens. With her new breakup with longtime boyfriend, Zac Effron, the girl is looking better than ever. If she's feeling down about the breakup, she's as good of an actress as anyone thought because she's not showing it. I'm extremely obsessed with the way this girl accessorizes. She's either got fingers full of beautiful rings or hair filled with either a feather or a braid. I know, hair with feathers? It sounds more weird than it actually is but taking one glance of Vanessa in her usual attire, you're bound to reconsider. In my book the girl has dubbed the title of bohemian princess. Her effortless style has seemed to emerged like something out of the 70's. She could definitely give Janis Joplin a run for her money. I can officially say, I'm obsessed!

Color Block
Hey Readers,
I know I already posted something yesterday but I wanted to post a little something extra for being absent for so long. Yesterday I said that the bohemian trend is one of my favorites of Spring and it is but there is another trend that I am also having an affair with. That trend would be Color Blocking. I adore how sophisticated and utterly chic it looks when it's all put together. I've heard about the trend numerous of times but I think I fell in love with it when I laid eyes on the Louis Vuitton 2011 Spring collection. If you know what I'm talking about, which I know all you fashionista's out there do, then I know you're just as in love as I am. So take a look at some of the pics below and you tell me if cheating with this trend is a good as idea as I think it is. Hope you all have a great week!

Bohemian Bound
Dear Readers,
Did you miss me? Hopefully you did because that would just be plain depressing if you didn't. I'm kidding of course but just like I've promised, I have a new post for you all! Lately, I've been embracing the bohemian vibe because I feel that since we're coming into the warm weather, it's a key unsaumble. Not only have I been embracing the ultra cool style but I've noticed my fellow fashinistas around the world have been too! Everything from the peacock feathered necklaces to silk headwraps have been seen worn by only the truest if hearts who are willing to pull this look off. I find the look extremely low-key and relaxing as well as comforting. Californian's aren't the only ones who are able to pull off this tranquilizing trend. Even though I was inspired by a California girl who knows this look backwards, forwards, sideways, and any other way in between. Yes, I am talking about the one and only Miss Rumi Neely. That girl can do no wrong and I literally bow down to her. She speaks, eats, and breathes this trend as well as knowing it my heart. Plus, everytime she trys the trend out, she rocks it every single time. Which let's face, is 100% of the time. The look is farely easy to pull off and with the help of H&M, you can't go wrong. Honestly, everytime I walk through those glass double doors that belong to H&M, I know I'll find something bohemian inspired. So wheather you're wearing a maxi skirt paired with loose knit top and a headwrap or a flowered dress paired with a peacock feathered necklace and a headband made out of daisies, you're bound to pull the look of well if not perfectly. So go ahead, give the look a try and you can thank me later because I know for a fact, you'll head-over-heels in love with this trend just like I have. Until next time!
P.S I've decided to go by my actual name istead of my nickname because when my friends read my blog, they have no idea whi this "Andy". Despite the fact that they're the ones who give me the nickname in the first place.

MIA much?
Dear Readers,
As much as it pains me, I have been away from you for too long. Let me tell you a short and brief story. My laptop has been infested with a virus. Thus, making it impossible for me to log on to and making it even harder to get in touch with my files. Our home P.C runs extremely slow so that's out of the question. I've taken my laptop to BestBuy and their doing everything they can to save it's life, send your prayers. So I'll have a brand new post soon and in the meantime sorry for being MIA. Hope you all can forgive me and hope to get back to blogging about the one thing that makes everything in this world worth wild (or at least in mine) FASHION!.

It Girl
Dear Readers,
I hope all of you had a good week! Another week has come and gone and with that we have a new "It Girl". This girl is no stranger to fashion. Fashion and her have a ongoing and passionate relationship. She is always complimented on her impeccable fashion sense and is always seen looking fabulous. She has been on numerous T.V shows including having her own called "It's On With Alexa Chung. If you don't know who I'm talking about by now, shame on you. She isn't afraid to take risks when it comes to fashion and that is why she is this weeks "It Girl"! I am talking about the one and only Miss Alexa Chung. The British beauty is almost always on a best dressed list and even has a Mulberry purse named after her called the Mulberry Alexa. Now if Mulberry is on board with her, then there must be a reason. Not to mention her collaboration with the indie/urban clothing line, Madwell, was a huge success. Selling collections of which Miss Chung described "sexy tomboy". Yes, sexy tomboy seems to be Chung's wardrobe description and it works for her. I love everything she walks out of the house wearing and wish that I could live in her closet. Although that sounds incredibly creepy, it's completely innocent. I honestly cannot wait to see what she wears next because I'm sure as usual, it will be insanely chic!
