Dear Readers,
I hope everyone had a nice Christmas. Since New Years is practically around the corner and there's no stopping it, I've decided to do a list of trends to follow in the new year. These trends have been all over the runway and we've been seeing a little of them here.  We're sure to see them on everyone who knows a thing or two about fashion in 2011! Usually there's a trend or two that I absolutely loathed but this year I can't seem to find one that I detest. It seems that I love every single piece of fabric for Spring/Summer 2011. So instead of babbling like I usually do, let me just get right down to it!

                                                                                     Lace
This trend is one of my favorites! I think it's so elegant and girly, reminds me something right out of a children's book. I must have a thousand pieces of fabric that have lace incorporated into it somehow. Now I don't know about you but this is a trend that I've been seeing everywhere and I think it's a trend anyone can pull of, if done correctly. Not only am I seeing it everywhere but I honestly think it's here to stay for a long time to come.

70's Glamour
When I say 70's I'm not talking about getting out your mothers old skates and heading to the roller rink, if people still even do that. I'm talking about some killer prints, bell bottoms, knee high boots and maybe a daisy or two in your hair. Take a page out of Janis Joplin or Jefferson Airplanes. Woodstock ring any bells? Now I'm not telling you to pull a Miley Cyrus and take a trip to the stars, I'm simply just telling you that the clothing that our parents wore, is on it's way back. I know right, our parents...cool? The thought just makes me want to jump out of a window. I cannot wait to see how people incorporate the 70's into their wardrobe, simply exciting!

Sheer Clothing
This look is so elegant and sexy, I absolutely love it. You  can wear this trend so many different way and you'll come out looking gorge every single time. Maybe it's the way that the fabric just clings to your body or that fact that you hear it swoosh every time you walk. You're bound to make head turn anytime you decided to try this trend out.

Punk Fashion
Ladies and gents, it's time to take out your plaid shirts and combat boots because the punk fashion trend has return. Though I'm not entirely sure it even left. This has always been one of my fave style regardless if it was in style or not. There's is just something about the color black that makes you feel powerful, not to mention paring it with some killer boots and rocking out to come Placebo. This trend is to die for! Whether you're wearing studs or plaid, you'll definitely be able to pull this look off and look amazing while doing so!
LadyLike
Now I'm not entirely sure that it's a trend to be ladylike but it's a definite must if you want to make a good impression. This is such a fun look to pull off! The idea is to refer to the 60's. Think housewife's baking in kitten heels and an empire waste dresses. Below the knee hourglass dresses are perfect for pulling this look off. I always love to look ladylike even though I'm humming a 30 Seconds To Mars and have a small tattoo of a cross on my neck. This is definitely a look you'll see more often than usual come Spring 2011.

Clogs

I've definitely worn clogs way to much this winter and it looks like I'll be wearing them more often because the trend is here to stay. Everywhere I go, my eye always seems to catch someone wearing these adorable shoes. I have a pair that has fur inside so they're perfect for winter as well as Spring. Whether your wearing black, white, brown or grey, this trend is here to stay. Oh lord, I'm actually rhyming, that's how excited I am for this trend!

Sticky Buns = Yumm!! :)

Dear Readers,
Christmas is only two days away and I should be filled with excitement but all I'm left with is sadness. You see every year when it gets close to the holiday season, I get beyond excited. I even start listening to Christmas music as early as September, I'm a bit obsessed. If there was a land that was filled with Christmas time all year round, I would be there front row and center. Sadly there is not such a place that exists and that's almost as depressing as watching Bristol Palin on Dancing With The Stars. It seems that immediately right after Christmas people start taking down their lights, the radios stop playing Christmas music and the cheer seems to go away as fast as it came. Well despite the fact that Christmas is in two days, I wanted to leave you with a little Christmas cheer that hopefully will stay in your hearts forever. It's one of my favorite holiday recipes that my mom and I make every year. Hopefully it will encourage you, if you have children or if you want a little baking craft to do with your loved ones; parents, daughters, sons, grandparents, etc. It's as delicious to eat as it is fun to make. Now I'm afraid I cannot take credit for inventing these yummy treats. It seems that I got the idea for these amazing treats by watching too much Food Network during the holidays season. It seems that whenever you turn on the Food Network during the holiday season, there is always someone baking or cooking something tasty and savory. Well it just so happens that about four years ago I was watching one of my favorite cooking shows, Barefoot Contessa and discovered a miracle. It just so happens that she was making these festive sticky buns, I knew from that very moment I had to get the recipe and get to baking. So every year since then my mother and I would bake the famous Sticky Buns and every year, we'd devour every crumb. Thankfully I have good genes and hardly ever gain a pound when I eat a feast, if that weren't the case, I'd be on a treadmill immediately right after the those decadent Sticky Buns. So instead of rambling on about my weight, I'm just going to hand over the recipe once and for all. I hope it will bring you many timeless memories as it has brought me. Hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and enjoy!!

STICKY BUNS = YUMM

Ingredients

  • 12 tablespoons (1 1/2 sticks) unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 1/3 cup light brown sugar, lightly packed
  • 1/2 cup pecans, chopped in very large pieces
  • 1 package (17.3-ounces/ 2-sheets) frozen puff pastry, defrosted

For the filling:

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted and cooled
  • 2/3 cup light brown sugar, lightly packed
  • 3 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup raisins

Directions

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Place a 12-cup standard muffin tin on a sheet pan lined with parchment paper.
In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, combine the 12 tablespoons butter and 1/3 cup brown sugar. Place 1 rounded tablespoon of the mixture in each of the 12 muffin cups. Distribute the pecans evenly among the 12 muffin cups on top of the butter and sugar mixture.
Lightly flour a wooden board or stone surface. Unfold 1 sheet of puff pastry with the folds going left to right. Brush the whole sheet with the melted butter. Leaving a 1-inch border on the puff pastry, sprinkle each sheet with 1/3 cup of the brown sugar, 1 1/2 teaspoons of the cinnamon, and 1/2 cup of the raisins. Starting with the end nearest you, roll the pastry up snugly like a jelly roll around the filling, finishing the roll with the seam side down. Trim the ends of the roll about 1/2-inch and discard. Slice the roll in 6 equal pieces, each about 1 1/2 inches wide. Place each piece, spiral side up, in 6 of the muffin cups. Repeat with the second sheet of puff pastry to make 12 sticky buns.
Bake for 30 minutes, until the sticky buns are golden to dark brown on top and firm to the touch. Be careful - they're hot! Allow to cool for 5 minutes only, invert the buns onto the parchment paper (ease the filling and pecans out onto the buns with a spoon) and cool completely.

Chunky Sweaters!!

Dear Readers,
Recently I did I little shopping at one of my favorite stores, Old Navy! I like to go there for casual dressing. Clothing I'd wear on a lazy Sunday or when I don't really feel like dressing up but still want to look good. I love their cardigans and have a million of them in my closet. So I must have spent about $130 total but came out with like five bags. So all in all, it was a good shopping day. Anyways, one of the trends I've been loving at the moment are the chunky sweaters. I feel that they are a fashion must for winter. You can wear them however big you want to and still look totally chic, I like to wear mine extra large. They are so much fun to wear and did I mention how incredibly comfy they are? So I must have bought like five of them when I took my little trip to ON but I wanted to share with you my favorite one of all.

This one was only $30 and is incredibly cozy. I bought another one in grey as well. I bought mine in large because the extra large was a bit to big. It's perfect for those incredibly cold days and living in D.C, we get those a lot. I love how it has that beautiful embroidery, it just screams ski trip. Not not I know how to ski but if I was invited to, this would be the sweater I'd take with me! I will this with jeggings or leggings along with my very chic motorcycle boots. It'd the perfect outfit to wear when you're just running errands and don't really feel like dressing up. Especially when it's below freezing outside, this is definitely the outfit for that. I will practically live in this sweater! So I just wanted to share that with you guys because I was so excited while I was ringing my things up I thought, I have to do a post about this. So there it is, no reason we have to sacrifice fashion just because it's cold outside.

My Top Picks In Make-up!!!

Dear Readers,
I've decided to put off this weeks Two-Way Friday until I get my new camera. It just seems stupid posting pictures of the the outfits rather than wearing them. So instead I've decided to do a list of my favorite make-up products. Now I don't usually wear make-up on a daily basis but when I do decided to wear it, these are top products on my list.

1. Neutrogena Mineral Sheer's Concealer

Now I've tried a lot of concealers in the past and some have worked while others have not. But I've never tried anything that works as well as this one. On the days when I don't wear make-up, I usually just wear this. It covers everything from under eye circles to blemishes. It's a lifesaver on those days when I was up all night studying.

2. DiorShow Mascara
When I have a big event coming up like a birthday party or a dinner party this is my go to mascara. I love how it makes my eyes lashes look as if I'm wearing fake ones. They give my eyelashes a length I couldn't get with any other mascara.  I don't usually wear mascara but when I do, this is definitely my favorite.

3. Mac Blush in Peaches
This is all I wear on those days where I don't really feel like wearing make-up. The color is perfect for my skin tone and always gives me a little glow. I've been wearing this blush since I was 15 and it never seems to fail. MAC is my favorite place to shop for make-up and has the coolest colors. This is definitely my favorite blush and probably will always be for many years to come.

4. Bare Minerals Foundation
Now I hate to wear foundation. It always makes my pores feel clogged and I always feel like face dirty. So I've always been on the lookout for that perfect foundation that doesn't make my face feel that way. Then about four years ago, I discovered Bare Minerals. This foundation is so lightweight that one night I actually fell asleep with it on and didn't get a rash. It feels amazing and doesn't even feel like I'm wearing make-up. Plus it has incredible coverage and makes my skin look flawless. I adore this foundation and it will always be my go to product in my make-up bag.

5. Revlon's Just Bitten in Gothic

Now I'm sure you know by now that I love to wear red lipstick. It's my favorite color of lipstick to wear but I could never find a brand that didn't fade. Then one day while I was at CVS I stumbled upon this little product here. Now I have to admit, at first I was skeptical about wearing a lipstain because someone told me it's just like applying a marker to your lips. Well I decided to take a risk and was extremely happy I did because I absolutely love this product. At first when you apply it, it does have a tendency to feel like wearing a marker but then when you apply the balm, it feels like a lipstick. A lipstick that doesn't fade for many hours. I applied this once when I went out one night and when I came home, it was still on. I love it and the color is so rich, It's definitely one of my favorite products at the moment.

6.  Ponds Make-up Removing Towelettes

Of course when it comes to make-up, you need an amazing make-up remover. It's always best to remove your make-up before you go to bed because leaving your make-up on can lead to clogged pores and acne. I have been using this product since I was 13 and love it. Not only does it remove make-up but imbedded dirt and oil as well. So your face is left with a fresh and clean feeling. Plus you don't even need water for this product. So it's perfect if your too tired or intoxicated. I have been using for 6 years and plan to use it for 16 more years to come.

Dear Readers,
I have been obsessing over how gorge Emma Roberts has been looking lately. Every time I see a recent picture of her, the girl never looks bad. It's as if she's programed to look amazing all the time. Enough of the praises, anyways she looks incredible, period. Years ago you could have found her only wearing jeans and a cute tee, now she's rocking Monique Lhuillier dresses and always has a cute clutch in hand. the girl has turned into serious style icon. So I've decided to post a few of my favorite Emma Roberts looks. Hope you like!
                                                                                          -Andy :)

Clark Kent Anyone?

Dear Reader,
What is it about bad boys that attract us to them? Better yet, what is it about assholes that attracts. Maybe it's just me but it seems as if I'm always falling for someone who's either taken, messed up, or a genuine asshole. I don't if there's something wrong with me if I'm just programed wrong. Maybe it's the fact that unavailable, demented, and total jerks of the world are more appealing than the available, angelic, nice ones. I have no idea only that I'm drawn to these losers. Well you see they don't turn out to be losers until you get to know them. Oh sure, at first they're sweeter than a new born baby but after awhile, they turn into the Anti Christ. It seems as if us women are programed to fall for these kinds of men but why? Why can't we be drawn to the charming men of the world. Why can't there be a sign on every guys forehead that tells us if they're bad or good? Cheating idiot or loyal sweetheart? So why do we keep coming back here if we know it's bad for us. Why do I keeping coming back here when I know it's bad for me? To be honest I have no idea. All I know is that when I see a hot guy with a Yamaha and a leather jacket, I swoon. Maybe it's the fact that bad boys have no limits, they're free. Maybe that's what I find appealing about them. Except that freedom always leads to a bad breakup and way too much Ben&Jerry's. All I know is that I have got to start picking better guys or I'm going to end up waking up and find myself living in a bad country song. I mean I'm a respectable girl who can easily date a good guy, so why don't I? Maybe I don;t know the difference, okay that's crap. I do know the difference it's just bad boys are more fun. They're more adventurous and know how to live life. Although all that adventure never ends well. T.V and movies don't help either. Who would want to date a Dan    Humphrey when you can date a Chuck Bass?  Well I guess that depends on who you ask, I'd choose Chuck Bass but then again that's why I'm in this mess. So instead of going for leather jackets and Yamaha's, I'll go
for argyle and glasses. Okay so maybe I don't exactly have to change my preference to nerds parsee but it wouldn't hurt, Clark Kent anyone? So I vow no more bad boys, how long do you think I'll last? It doesn't matter because if I don't I guess I'll better call CMT channel my new home because that's the way my life will end up, as one big country song.

A little dose of designers :)

Dear Readers,
So I probably should have done a post solely dedicated to the new collection at H&M that features Lanvin but I didn't. Well I've I've been thinking, what the hell is wrong with me? I guess the only reason why I didn't want to do it was because everyone has already done it. So I've decided not to do it. Not that I'm not obsessing over Lanvin right now because I am. It's mainly all I talk about despite the fact that I didn't include it in my "To die for" Tuesday. Even though I'm just starting out in the blog scene and I'm still an amateur, I've decided to not be like everyone else and just do things the way I want. After all, it is my blog and no one else's correct?
Good, glad we got that situated. So instead of doing another poet about Lanvin, I've decided to do one about two designers I'm obsessing over with right now. Some of you may not be very familiar with their names but that'll soon change. They just had their Spring 2011 shows in paris and I'm sure they were the talk of the city. Their pieces are both sweet and sophisticated but with a bit of edge to them. The first designer or I should say designers are named Johnny Talbot and Adrian Runhof.  They both come from different parts of the world, Johnny being from Nashville, TN and Adrian from Munich, Germany. But it was fashion that brought the two together in college where they met. Their pieces are cunning but maintain a sense of sophistication to them. They were named "ones to watch" by WWD in Paris after their 09/10  fall and winter collection. I'm so excited to see what they come up with next as I'm sure it will be as magical as the rest of their collections.
The next designer is Cacharel. It was created by Jean Bousquet in the mid 60's when one of Jean's fitted and printed shirts for woman became known as 'fashion". Now the company is being run by the New Creative Director, Cedric Charlier. The collections are somewhat girly and flirty with a ton of floral patterns. I'm absolutely in love with these pieces and can't wait for their next collections. These designers are too brilliant for words and I'm sure we're to see their pieces on everyone in the future. Before you know it, Cacharel and Talbot Runhof will be just as famous as Chanel and Prada. I look forward to that day!

"To die for" Tuesday

Dear Readers,
I've got an amazing idea, among others. I've decided that on Tuesdays I'll be listing some of the things that I'm obsessed with at the moment. In other words, things that I think are "to die for"at the. Hence the name "to die for" Tuesdays. So I've posted the pics below along with a brief description why I'm obsessing over it. Hope you like!!

1. Sam Edelman Spiked Heels
Now this is one of my favorites right now. I'm absolutely in love with theses heels and literally have it as my background to my laptop. I love the fact that it's over the edge but it still keeps a feminine vibe to it. Now they may not be the heels you wear to church but they're definitely the heels to wear right now. Number one on my Christmas list!

3. Vivi Randozzo Silver Leaf Headpiece
I have been beyond obsessed with Vivi Randazzo's headpieces ever since I saw them on Champagne and Marshmallows. Especially this piece which I wear with almost everything. Thats the thing I love about her pieces. They're subtle but with a bit of an angelic edge to them so you can wear them with practically anything. The whole hippie/rock-star look is definitely one of my many favorite trends and this is definitely a key piece to pull it off. Check out Vivi's many other headpieces at www.ViviRandazzo.com
FYI, that's not me up top, it's the model.

                                                                          4. Chloe Sevigny for Open Ceremony Leopard Cardi
This cardi is "to die for". I'm head over heels in love with it at the moment which probably means somewhere in the next month or so, I'll be completely sick of it. Until then, it's my go to cardigan. I feel when it comes to leopard prints you have to be subtle or else you'll just come out looking trashy and skanky. So my theory is to just wear one thing that's leopard and one thing only. Such as a hat, stockings, scarf, or a cute cardi like this one. I wear mine with a white tank, bandage skirt and knee highs. Maybe I'll choose this for the this weeks Two-Way Friday, we'll see.

4. Forever Twenty-One Rings
I've always been in love with Forever Twenty-One's jewlery and their rings are no exception. I love the fact how all of their pieces look completely vintage, as if I just bought them at a vintage shop. Plus they come at such an amazing price. I bought four beautiful rings for only $10. DEAL ALERT!! I wear theses with everything and it's safe to say, I'm absolutely obsessed!

5. Leather Shorts
I'm seeing these on everyone lately and I'm adoring them. I especially love the ones I bought at ASOS to the left. I love how it's sweet with an edge. They're definitely a key piece to pulling off an edgy look. I usually wear mine with tights but if you want to pull off a sexy look, you can wear them without or with knee highs. Can you say OBSESSED?? :)

Hope you liked!!

Orange tights and a pink tutu :)

Dear Readers,
It's not secret that I'm pretty much obsessed with fashion. If it is then clearly you don't know me very well. Fashion is like my bread and butter. The ying to my yang. Some people have hobbies, I have fashion. Ever since I was little putting together the right outfit was important. Take 1st grade picture day for example. I just had to be the most stylish 1st grader on the block. With my orange tights paired with a pink tutu and a leather jacket to finish it all off. Of course I even had my hello kitty backpack with me which pulled together the whole outfit. I'm not joking here people, It's what I honestly wore. Thankfully my style has evolved into something a bit more elegant, than Hello Kitty. Nevertheless, fashion is my life. I plan to finish The Arts Institute and intern at one of the best fashion magazines today. Yes, I'm a bit ambitious but it's better than being lazy. With fashion there comes fashion blogs which is the selected topic of today's post. I cannot begin to explain how elated with joy I am that someone came up with this brilliant idea. I mean anyone with a camera a brain can simply come up with a fashion blog but I think it takes much more than that.
Yes, it takes a little something more than just a camera and a brain to come up with a fashion blog. For one, you have to have an unique and tasteful idea of what your planning to blog. Or else everyone would have a blog describing their fashion takes and to be honest, let's thank God that's not the case. Because fashion isn't just something that you wake up one morning having knowledge about. Unless you hire a stylish then that's a different story. I always thought it was a gift that some people poses and other's simply don't. Terrifying right?
Being born without a fashion sense. It's not uncommon though, I've seen the fanny pack worn every now and then. But on a serious note, fashion blogs are the biggest new crave on the internet since YouTube. Or maybe that's just my perspective. Either way though, it seems as if you can't turn a page in a fashion magazine without hearing a thing or two about a new blogger who's decided to become a fashion blogger. Whether you're a boy or girl, it doesn't matter because I feel as though as long as you know what your typing about, go ahead and type. Fashion blogs the newest accessory on the internet. I honestly think they're giving stylists a run for their money because why pay for one when you can just go online and visit Rumi Neely's blog or even Erika Marie's? Maybe that's a but dramatic because whether they're people that can't dress, stylists will be there to save the day. So don't worry stylists, you're safe. Nope, I don't think stylists are going anywhere and from the looks of it, neither are fashion blogs. I think it's safe to say that like ballet flats, fashion blogs will always be in style.
P.S I've listed some of the fashion blogs that I follow, they're absolutely to die for!!

I want your ideas!! :)

Dear Readers,
I've been getting a lot of emails from some of you guys telling me how much you loved the Two-Way Friday! I'm so glad to hear it and it's a bit reassuring to know that there are people out there who actually read my blog. All seriousness, thanks! Now I'm sure you've picked up on the fact that I love making lists. Whether it's making lists of my favorite music or fashion trends, I love making them. I even make lists in the real world as well. It drives my friends and family crazy. You would think having an organized child would make some parents happy, not mine. I guess we're a unique family, to say the least. Well seeing as how my blog can't be about list's 24/7, I've decided to devote one day to posting a new list. I haven't decided which day it'll be which is why I need your help. I want you to send me tweets or emails telling me which day you'd prefer me to make a lists. I'm sort of leaning towards Mondays seeing as how it's the beginning of the week and that would be a fun way to start it off.  The lists will range from everything to my favorite music, books and clothing I'm into at the moment. Also feel free to tell me what sort of lists you'd like me to write about. As much fun as talking about my fave music, books and clothing is, I want something more original. So feel free to email me your ideas! Hope you all had a great weekend and look forward to hearing about all your amazing thoughts.

P.S A lot of you are asking why I go by the name of Andy when my name is Sandra. Well a lot of people call me Sandy which I can't stand. I absolutely loathed the nickname. So one night while my best friend and I were wasted he asked me why not I drop the S in Sandy and just go by Andy? So ever since then he's been calling me Andy and it's just caught on so most of my friends call me Andy now. And that's my friends why I go by the name Andy.

Torn between two cities :)

Dear Readers,
I can not wait for Christmas! I've been tweeting, talking (incisively), and you can even catch me singing a Christmas tune every now and then. It's that one time of year when everyone just seems nicer, sweeter, and cheerier. Since I love in the city it's only better because there's just something about living in the city during the holidays. I don't what it is but everything just seems magical. Despite the honking of loud car horns or the extra pollution in the air, the city seems a bit brighter during Christmas. I've lived in D.C my whole life that I find it unbearable to live anywhere else, except New York. New York and D.C will always have my heart, I guess I'm just torn between the two. I remember when I was younger my mother would always treat me to a hot dog while we'd visit a museum or two. There's so much culture in D.C that you find it hard not to fall head over heels for it. Especially if you're going to take a trip down to U street. Oh my gosh it's my favorite. A little bit over ten years ago it wasn't the best neighborhood to live in or even visit but if you visit now, you'll be pleasantly surprised. It has turned into one of D.C's best kept secrets. Whether it's getting a bite to eat at Ben's Chili Bowl or even spending the day at Meridian Hill Park (one of my favorite places in the world), you'll never want to live anywhere else.
Or when the holidays roll into town you're definitely going to find me in Old Town Alexandria. You can see the brightness from all the Christmas lights from miles away. I personally love to just chill in one of of the gazebos that sits on the water overlooking the National Harbor. Plus during the summer there's this "to die for" crab shack that's also on the harbor. So you can get a bucket of shrimp and sit by the water, it's absolute heaven. Now I don't think I'd be a true Washingtonian if I didn't spend a bunch of my time in Georgetown!
Yes, Georgetown or "Georgie" as my best friend likes to call it. not only is the shopping fabulous but the night life isn't bad either. Georgetown probably has one of the best club scenes ever. My besties and I have spent numerous Saturday nights at the L 2 Lounge and should set up camp outside of the 9:30 club since we've gone there two many times to listen to amazing bands. D.C has much more to offer than just a huge statue that resembles a sharp pencil or even the address of or country's leader. Nope, D.C is much more than that. D.C is the comfort for all things sad. It's one of the best places to live and if you don't already live here, I honestly don't know what you're waiting for. I am beyond happy that many years ago my mother decided to move from Texas to D.C and settle down. Of course I was born four years later and grew up to be incredibly fond of D.C. While some people may be skeptical and tired of the places they live. I've been blessed to have been born in a place where I have no intentions of leaving. I've been so lucky to have been born in a place that I will and always hold near and dear to my heart. Not only has D.C captured my heart but it's swallowed it up completely. I'm so happy to call the wonderful state that goes by the name
of D.C, my home!

Two-Way Friday :)

Dear Lovers,
I've recently been on prowl for that perfect grandpa sweater but have no luck funding one. I've literally searched high and low, vintage store after vintage store and have come up empty handed. I honestly think a big and baggy grandpa sweater is a huge key piece for a perfect wardrobe. You can wear with anything day or night. I mean I have like a hundred cardigans but none that are what I've been looking for. You know the one that has elbow patches and is really slouchy? Well that's the one I had in mind and I have yet to find it. Well anyways I wanted to try something new. I've decided to come up with one key piece such as a sequined blazer or even a pair of jeans and make two outfits. One for day and one for night. I'll try and make the one key piece a day outfit and the other a night outfit and I've decided to do this at the end of every week. I know it's probably been done before but not in my way. So I thought I'd add a little of my own flavor to spice it up. I'm going to call it Two-Way Fridays. So our first Two-Way Friday is going to involve a grandpa sweater. I've found an adorable cardigan at Old Navy which I just had to get the moment I saw it, among several things. I got the cardigan in both grey and black. I've decided to use the grey one but you can use the black one if you like. I hope you enjoy the two outfits I've put together and may they inspire you come up with your own!

The Main Event, The Cardigan!

I loved the fact that this sweater pulls of a huge trend right now (sequins) but in such a low-key way. I always find it hard to pull this look off without overdoing with the sequins. So when I found this, it was perfect. I think if you want to pull of this trend, you have to be subtle with it. Like if you're going to sequins try and do it with accessorizing. You could wear a sequined beanie, necklace or even bangles. Cause you don't want to end up looking like a disco ball because you over did it with the sequins.

Day Look!

For this look I've decided to pair the cardigan with a tweed bubble skirt and since this is a day outfit and not a night one, you must wear tights. You don't want to freeze your ass off do you? Didn't think so. I've posted the tights I wore with this outfit on the bottom. I also wore this exact headband with the outfit. Recently I was bored online and everybody knows that can never be good. Well luckily for me, it lead to this awesome website that specializes in jeweled headbands. They also specialize in a ton of accessories such as necklaces and bracelets. I'll post the website on the bottom if you want to check it out. Now as for what I wore under the cardigan, I decided to go with
a sheer white tank top from American Apparel. I absolutely love going there for my basics such as tights and tank tops. For shoes I wore these gorge wedged ankle boots that I bought at vintage store in Georgetown. Since my camera is a wreck right now I'll try and post a picture of the shoes when my camera is feeling better. As for what I did with my hair I just wore in down in loose waves along with the headband.

Night Look!

Now for the night look I decided to pair the cardigan with sequined leggings I bought in summer at H&M. I fell absolutely in love when I first laid eyes on these leggings, they're completely gorge. Then I decided to finish the look with some simple grey pumps from Forever Twenty-One. I find myself in awe with the heels at Forever Twenty-One. At first I was skeptical because gorge shoes for such a low price can only mean they're really cheap. So I decided to take a chance and buy a pair and once I did, it was the best decision I ever made. They're incredibly comfortable and surprisingly are good quality. I bought a pair two years ago that are incredibly beautiful and they still look brand new. Plus they have so many amazing pairs that it's hard not to pick up twenty and head straight to the register. As for a shirt to go on the
bottom, I decided to just wear a simple blue tank top from Forever Twenty-One. I found that the blue looked really well with the grey and black. It was really pretty and added a pop of color to such as simple but sexy outfit. I also rolled up the sleeves of the cardigan a bit. Now at first I was contemplating on wearing a sequined mini instead of the leggings but since I live in D.C, the weather wasn't really agreeing. So I decided to go with this instead and I'm happy that I did. As for my hair, I just put into a loose low bun and teased the roots for a bit of volume. I also added my mother's Swarovski Crystal bib necklace with this.

Hope you liked!!
